Sheet Metal Model Maker (Prototype Stamping)

GENERAL DESCRIPTION
• Producing quality parts efficiently from prototype and production dies while utilizing one piece flow.
• Bend tubes and wires to customer requirements
• Adhering to all processes, procedures, and company policies.
• Ensure accurate completion of documentation. (travelers, tags, in process check sheets, setup sheets, hourly count sheets, etc)
• Troubleshooting (Including quality, equipment, tooling, and process issues). Process issues include but are not limited to rips, tears, strains, tooling issues, and additional forming issues.
• Practice and ensure team members are practicing good housekeeping.
• Keep inventory of jobs assigned to the area, and provide early warning when item inventories are running low.
• Provide input on man power and hours required to complete tasks.
WORK EXPERIENCE PREFERENCES
This position prefers the support the production of quality products manufactured in a safe working environment and delivered to our customers on time. This ideal candidate should have knowledge and prior experience related to die and press setup and operation, die tryout, blank development (developing sheet metal blanks to form without rips, tears, or strains), providing feedback on tool design, die barbering (benching and polishing), extrusion development, secondary press operation development, rapid prototype, die spotting, fabricating, metal model making, blue print reading, and interpretation of GD&T. This position requires basic reading, writing, and computer skills.
EDUCATION PREFERENCES
The educational preference for this position is a high school diploma and direct experience in a die tryout in a prototype environment. Some college coursework in a technical field is preferred but not required.

5 Axis Laser Operator

GENERAL DESCRIPTION
• Efficiently setup and operate a 5 axis laser(s)
• Build work holding fixtures and provide feedback on fixture design.
• Adjust cutting conditions increase surface quality and output while reducing blow out’s and pop’s.
• Layout and check parts utilizing height gauges, micrometers, calipers, etc.
• Make adjustments and moves to programs at the machine using the teach box or CAD/CAM software offline in order to achieve dimensional buy off.
• Adhere to all processes, procedures, and company policies
• Troubleshoot issues (Including quality, equipment, tooling, and process issues). Process issues include but are not limited to cutting conditions, fixture issues, repeatability issues, etc.
• Accurately complete all documentation. (travelers, tags, in process check sheets, setup sheets, hourly count sheets, etc)
• Practice good housekeeping.
WORK EXPERIENCE PREFERENCES
This position prefers the ability follow directions and work with team members to support the production of quality products manufactured in a safe working environment and delivered to our customers on time. This ideal candidate should have knowledge and prior experience related to blue print reading and interpretation of GD&T. This candidate should also have the ability to make accurate measurements with calipers, micrometers, height gauge, and dial indicator. This position requires basic reading, writing, technical math, mechanical, and computer skills. Experience related to CAD/CAM, Machining, and 3-5 axis laser or CNC setup, programming, and operation is a plus.
EDUCATION PREFERENCES
The educational preference for this position is a high school diploma. Some college coursework in a technical field is preferred but not required.

CMM Operator

GENERAL DESCRIPTION
• Efficiently and accurately inspect prototype and production products for dimensional accuracy utilizing a CMM, Faro arm, shadow graph, height gauge, micrometers, calipers, bore gauge, depth gauge, and additional inspection equipment and gauges.
• Layout and check parts utilizing height gauges, micrometers, calipers, etc.
• Build fixtures and/or stack up’s to hold and position parts to be accurately inspected.
• Write, edit, and run CMM programs for the inspection and dimensional approval of parts during development phases requiring adjustments and modifications. Write, edit, and run CMM programs for final inspections and approvals.
• Communicate technical data, dimensional moves, and adjustments to a diverse team of individuals.
• Perform in process dimensional inspections and audits on the shop floor.
• Adhere to all processes, procedures, and company policies
• Troubleshoot issues (Including quality, equipment, tooling, and process issues). Process issues include but are not limited to diagnosing which locations and sizes of holes, edges, forms, and welded components would need to be changed to correct dimensional issues.
• Accurately complete all documentation. (travelers, tags, in process check sheets, setup sheets, hourly count sheets, etc)
• Practice good housekeeping.
WORK EXPERIENCE PREFERENCES
This position prefers the ability follow directions and work with team members to support the production of quality products manufactured in a safe working environment and delivered to our customers on time. This ideal candidate should have knowledge and prior experience related to CMM programming, CMM operation, CMM inspection, inspection with manual tools, optical and laser inspection, part layout’s, fixture building and design input, SPC (Statistical Process Control), PPAP (Production Part Approval Process), FAI (First Article Inspection), blue print reading, and interpretation of GD&T. This position requires strong reading, writing, and computer skills. Prior shop floor experience and/or experience in a fab shop is a plus. PC-DMIS experience is a plus.
EDUCATION PREFERENCES
The educational preference for this position is a high school diploma and direct experience in a CMM inspection role. Some college coursework in a technical field is preferred but not required.

Welder/Fabricator

GENERAL DESCRIPTION
This position requires the ability to produce welded assemblies within allotted time to customer drawings and codes. Candidate must be able to lift heavy components and tools when required using safe practices. Candidate must be able to follow instructions and complete in process documentation including quality check verification, hourly counts, count components, complete in-process tags, and report scrap and rework quantities. Candidate must be able to work with Quality Department to obtain initial part quality buyoff and maintain quality of components throughout the shift. Candidate must maintain a neat and orderly work station and be able to work in a team environment including assisting with technical troubleshooting and resolving differences with other team members. Ability to perform manual welding operations to AWS codes is required. Candidate must own his / her own tools including but not limited to grinding tools, hammers, chisels, measurement equipment (calipers, scale, micrometers, etc.). Candidate must be able to read and interpret blueprints. Knowledge of GD&T is a plus. Ability to layout components with height gage a plus.
WORK EXPERIENCE PREFERENCE
Steel MIG welding experience required. Steel TIG, Aluminum MIG and TIG preferred. Prior experience with fabrication using blueprints preferred. Experience using functional build gages and troubleshooting said gages preferred.
EDUCATION PREFERENCE
This position requires a High School education or equivalent Some college coursework in a technical field is preferred but not required.
