In addition to our AS9100(B) and ISO 9001:2008 certifications,in January 2011 we received our TS 16949 certification!In our efforts to keep quality a top priority, we have partnered with a certified consulting organization to help our quality department provide internal audits to keep a balance in Duggan's quality management system. We are now scheduled to acquire our AS9100 Rev. C certification in early summer of 2011.

New Equipment As we are continuously reinvesting in new equipment and the latest technologies, Duggan Manufacturing is pleased to announnce we have recently purchased the following: 

  • A new ABB weld robot with 2 positioners to add to our existing fiber optic laser welding capabilities
  • 3 additional 2010 Mori Seiki CNC milling machines
  • Clark AUT 44873 GCX40 Hi-Lo (7,300 lbs capacity)
  • Clark Club Car CGC55L Hi-Lo (12,000 lbs capacity)

Duggan Manufacturing Establishes New Process Development Facility For Remote Fiber Laser Welding, Brazing And Cutting

Shelby Township, Michigan-based Duggan Manufacturing has committed significant capital and personnel to utilize the benefits and advance the application development of remote fiber lasers for high-throughput production processes in the automotive, defense, aerospace and alternative energy industries.

Fig. 1 (Photo No. DM11A) — New laser manufacturing cell with an ABB robot equipped with two Precitec welding heads, a 5 kW IPG fiber laser, two rotary fixtures and two trunnion fixtures.

Fig. 2 (Photo No. DM11B) — Fiber laser, mounted to robot, is shown placing 22 welds in 13 seconds on automotive seating components.
