Services

Duggan Manufacturing, as a total turnkey service supplier, can take your ideas from design to prototype and deliver a product that meets your highest standards.

Welding

Duggan Manufacturing has the personnel and equipment to suit all your welded product requirements. There are full-time, highly experienced engineers on staff as well as a certified weld inspector. In terms of equipment, there is a bank of robotic welding cells, DC spot welders, and countless mobile welding units with all the complimentary equipment. This dedication ensures our assembled product is both stoutly built and efficiently produced.

Weld Certification

Duggan has established a welding program that requires all welding to be done in accordance with the American Welding Society. We have approved welding procedures for the following welding codes; D1.1 Structural Steel, D1.3 Sheet Steel, D1.2 Aluminum and C1.1 Resistance Welding, and are presently exploring procedures for D1.6 Stainless Steel, as well.

Weld Testing

With AWS certified welding Inspectors and dedicated welding engineers on site, plus all the necessary equipment required to bend, fracture and reduced section tension testing in-house, we can expedite new products that require additional weld testing and validation, while certifying any new or existing employees on these processes. With our Met-Lab we have the capabilities to provide computer-documented proof of any macroetch cross sections, if necessary… Currently we are certified by the military to weld steel, aluminum and armor.

Metal Stamping

There are over 60 presses on our floor. Presses are the lifeblood of any stamping department and ours range from 12 tons up to 1200 tons. Our cushion presses allow us to do deep draw stamping with less tooling. The mechanical presses allow us to efficiently produce simple stamping quickly. With such a large array of hydraulic presses we have the flexibility to perform almost any job.

Laser Cutting

Duggan has 10 lasers with both 6 axis and 3 axis capabilities and the latest state-of-the-art robotic laser welding equipment. We can cut 1-inch steel and run parts in a lights out environment. We also provide sophisticated pallet changing equipment for a full range of metals from mild steel to zinc-coated to exotics, as well as Class A surfaces. Our 6 axis lasers are programmed offline using Catia 5 software. Offline programming allows our technicians to shorten product development time requirements.

Press Brake Fabricating

Our CNC controlled hydraulic press brakes allow for the fabrication of bent parts from laser cut our turret punch pressed flat patterns in thicknesses from.010 to.75. Accurately formed steel, aluminum, stainless and high temp alloy details are provided to our customers, offering press brake formed parts ready for assembly.

Quality Assurance

The Duggan Quality Control System is unique because we dont wait until the end of the production. Our system is a living, breathing process with around-the-clock, on the floor, through-the-project, hands- and eyes-on inspections, supported by high-tech measuring machines and CMMs using DMS software. Before a part is certified for production it is evaluated at calculated stages of development by astute and critical inspectors. Finished parts are routinely checked for accuracy and finish. The results? Our customers get the quality parts they need and expect! And the timeline is not compromised. Duggan Manufacturing is currently ISO 9001:2000 and AS9100 certified.

Patterns and Castings

Accurate and design-specific patterns and models are created to exact specifications by our fully experienced pattern and model makers. It is our customers assurance of structural integrity that means the rest of the project will be right on target.
Our highly skilled pattern and model makers create finely finished forms that correspond directly to the shapes desired for casting. From computer programming to machine setting, from finishing and applying foundry methodologies to the completed job, our experts using the latest technologies, materials and inspection techniques have an impressive track record of creating a remarkable variety of complex shapes and sizes (from mere ounces to 750 pounds).
With model makers on site 24/6, we can take your close tolerance job any dimension or form from design to final part within weeks, or even days.
Whether for ferrous or non-ferrous castings, we work with sand, plaster cast, investment shell mold, or the latest materials. Our long-term and compliant relationships with over a dozen well-regarded foundries enable us to provide superb quality castings ranging from rapid prototype to production depending on each customers needs.

Design and Engineering

We use a variety of design software from Catia V5, Unigraphics, Mastercam, and Solidworks. From computer-based design and modeling… to the finished machined product or tool… prototypes to production runs… as well as the design machining and construction of custom tooling to meet your special production needs, CNC Machine and Design Inc. strives to meet and exceed customer needs for quality, machined parts.

Fixtures and Gauging

Duggan produces a variety of check aids and assembly fixturing. Quality assurance, design and machine shop technicians work in tandem to ensure our gauging is simple, accurate and repeatable. The results are increased efficiency, with in-process checks occurring frequently during parts production.

Painting

Duggan paints parts to customer specifications. Whether Carc painting, powder coating, or enameling, we ensure that your parts are painted to exact specs and are protected through proper packaging.

Plating

We offer many different types of plating. Our most common platings include trivalent, zinc, ecoat, chrome, black oxide, anodizing, phos, and oil. If your project requires plating that is not listed, we can arrange to accommodate any of your needs.

CNC Milling

For production requirements that need to be machined quickly or a one-of-a-kind product never before built, we have the equipment to machine it. With high-speed milling machines featuring spindle speeds up to 12,000 rpms, Duggan efficiently produces large quantity machined components. Small batches or one-of-a-kind machined parts or fixtures are also up our alley. Our team of experienced machinists are dedicated to making sure all your parts are manufactured to print. Currently we utilize 9 different CNC mills to satisfy our customers needs.

CNC Turning

Over the years, Duggan as evolved into a reliable source in the production of quality precision lathe-turned parts. Our technicians work as a skilled team producing quality through ingenuity and attention to detail.

Inspection Capabilities

Duggan has a full complement of inspection equipment from programmable CMMs with DMIS, Tensile Testing, Rockwell hardness testing and Nikon SMZ 1000 microscope. Whether its dimensional verification, material testing, or weld integrity testing, we have the equipment to certify your parts.

Wire Forming

Typically we offer our custom wire forming services as a component to larger fabrication projects. Over time we have even developed into a resource for our customers who only need wire forming, further proof of our desire to be of complete service to Duggan customers.

Injection Molding

Our Injection Molding Division is located in Shelby Township, Michigan. Where a talented crew primarily supplies automotive components to Tier One suppliers. The success of the Molding Division can be attributed to our experienced toolmakers, competitive pricing, and quick turn around deliveries.

Epoxy Dipping

Duggan has in-house nylon and epoxy part dipping capabilities.

Tube Bending

Our tube bending expertise brings Duggan customers a high degree of flexibility in terms of the size and type tubing and pipe materials we can work with. Typically we bend up to 4 diameter steel and aluminum tubes and pipe. If you have a unique product or question, dont hesitate to talk to our experts.

Turret Punch Pressing

Duggan has traditional punch press capabilities up to 25 tons for those metal stampings that do not allow for laser cut material. With these presses we can form metal up to 3/16 thick, or as thin as .01.

Insert Clinching
